I'm looking to get a good generator/air compressor for the shop. I will be changing some tires and need to know what the minimum cfm/psi is to get the tires to bead on the rims without too much wrestling.
I'll be using it for cars and full size pickups. No monster tires or anything like thatHow much cfm/psi do I need for changing car and truck tires?
50 PSI for automobiles, 150 PSI for trucks
CFM is a function how long you want to wait!
it is a compromise, the larger the tank, the more energy it costs and the less time
the smaller the tank it is the labour wait cost!
usually large tank wins!
