How can i change my car from low rpms to high rpms?

its a 1981 nissan datsun 510How can i change my car from low rpms to high rpms?
if you want more power and shift higher in the rpm band you can get bigger gears for your rear end, or get some smaller profile tires and than in turn will act as if you changed the gears in the read axleHow can i change my car from low rpms to high rpms?

You might want to re ask this question explaining what you mean, because a S.A. answer would be to step on the gas pedal
I don't understand... Pressing the accelerator increases the car,only when it is running though..
yes, this is a rather odd question and i read it a few times over. you shift at 300rpms?? that makes no sense. like the last person said you can alter the gearing to get more speed. once that happens your speedometer will read incorrectly. its a fairly old car and won't go overly fast between gears so i mean you can put your foot down but the engine may complain.
