How much does it take to change a car into a convertible?

Im wanting to get my grandmother a 65 mustang like the one she had when she got her first car, but the only one i found in my area, est tn, is a hard top. how much work would it take to change it into a convertible? it can be one that it manually put up and down if that's cheaper, but im just wondering if its possible with a small budget. How much does it take to change a car into a convertible?
the roof is part of the body of the car. take it away and the body will bend and flex differently. convertables have reinforced frames to compensate for the lack of roof. you would need to add some structural integrity but it is possible not cheap. Please dont ruin a mustang. i dont even like them but i am a classic car purest and these kind of questions are like nails on a chalkboard. How much does it take to change a car into a convertible?
no, it really isnt possible without alot of work, you could get a converible body and put it on it but still alot of work.
This is a major project involving many hours of labor and countless parts. Best if you leave it as is or continue to look for a convertible.
Probably will cost you more than to find a 65 mustang convertible some where and fix it ...None of the tasks above are for small budget good luck
when cut roof off have to ad frame rails under to make up for roof suport an it would cost so mush you could buy one alreday done for less . mable a nice sun roof glase you might like an would $500 to%1000. for sun roof
