How to change car drum break?

Pretty much the same on all cars. Begin by removing the wheel. Back off the brake adjuster, and pull the drum straight off. If it doesn't budge, whack it with a hammer a couple of times and it will come right off. To change the shoes, use a brake spring plier to relieve the spring, then undo the hold downs. Replacement is the reverse of removal.Use new brake springs and hardware when reinstalling. How to change car drum break?
Ok you need to be more informative on the year make and model of the car. They are all different. I suggest that you put that on here and I will check back when you do.How to change car drum break?
drum breaks are a b.... to get at because you have to take off bolts that are on the back of the break. (of course it depends on what kind of vehicle it is) then you pull the break drum off. if you are just replacing the drum head, its fine just put a new one on. if you are doing the whole thing, you have to take a bunch of springs off, and it does matter what springs go off first. the bottom springs that are ';to the floor'; take off first, be carefull tho. it might fly up at you. then pretty much falls off. replace the break pads and put it back on the same way you took it off. if you need any more help, you can email or IM me at racing24no@yahoo,com
